When people look at losing the belly fat they are carrying around with them, they usually want to do it to just get thinner. Basically they just want to look better and to lose some weight. But one thing they don’t realise is that having excess belly fat can cause a whole host of healthy issues. Diabetes, heart disease and strokes are all proven issues that are caused by being overweight.
So that should give them the biggest motivation they need, not just because they want to look good when taking off their shirts at the beach.
Losing the belly fat is one of the most awkward areas to lose fat in. The fat is generally harder to shift than in other areas. But this doesn’t mean it is impossible, you just need to know how to do it.
Tip #1 – Eat Better Fats
Fats are important to your body, so never cut them out completely. What you need to focus on is eating better fats. These are saturated fats that you’ll find in butter, milk and fatty meats. Instead choose unsaturated butter, low fat milk and lean meat that doesn’t have any fat. This way your body is still getting the fat but it will be easier to burn off.
Tip #2 – Control Your Portions
Eat smaller meals more often. This method has been proven to increase the metabolism and speed up fat loss. Don’t have big meals just because you are hungry as you’ll eat more than you should. Eat smaller meals every 3 hours, so you’ll not feel hungry and eat less through the course of a day.
As you can see, losing the belly fat is not going to happen overnight. It is going to take some determination but if you do the right things then it will happen sooner than any fad diet or ab machine tells you it will.
