Along with the hips and thighs, belly fat love handles are one of the most problematic areas on the body as far as excess fat is concerned. It’s a mid section that your body generally favours to store any excess energy. But when you decide you want to lose it, it can also be really stubborn to shift.
So What Can You Do About It?
Well even though elimination your belly fat love handles is going to take some work, it certainly isn’t impossible to do as long as you do the right exercises and eat the right foods. That combination of both is the only way you’ll get your body to burn the fat without surgery that is.
Here are some exercises to help you lose those love handles:
Basic Crunches – You probably know these as a regular sit up. Just lie on your back, bend your knees and put your feet flat on the floor. Then put your hands behind your head and lift your upper body off the floor. Try not to pull yourself up with your arms, it should be a movement that comes from your stomach and you should be pulling yourself up instead.
Leg Raises – Again you will lay flat on your back. This time your legs remain straight and you raise them together from the floor and hold them for a few seconds before lowering them.
Twist Crunches – These are similar to the basic crunch above but with a slight twist – literally! You start in the same position but when you crunch you need to twist your body so that your left elbow heads towards your right knee. Lower your body then repeat the exercise but have your right elbow heading towards your left knee. This exercise helps you focus on the obliques.
With each of these exercises, try to do a series of sets doing as many as you can of each exercise. Start off doing 10 of each, then do more each time you workout. By doing this you should be able to eliminate those belly fat love handles faster than you ever thought possible!
