Let’s face it; none of us like to have stomach fat do we? If we had the choice of it being removed by tomorrow, most of us would say yes. But of course this sadly isn’t possible and removing stomach fat doesn’t happen overnight. So, many of us start to hide stomach fat. We wear clothes that are baggy so don’t show off our belly. Or many people buy special compression vests that pull our fat in and reduce the bulges.
But instead of trying to hide stomach fat, you really need to focus on eliminating it. Not only is it affecting your life, it is affecting your health too. People who are overweight are prone to more diseases and health issues than thinner people. Many will develop diabetes and even heart complaints. This is because the fat clogs the arteries and prevents blood from flowing as freely as it should.
So you must realise that losing that belly fat is more than just losing weight; it is more about making yourself healthy so that you live a long and healthy life.
To begin with you need to take a look at your diet. If you see that you are eating lots of saturated fats and processed foods, then they need to be removed from your diet. These do your body no good at all and actually create the hardest fat to remove. So try and introduce some healthy items into your diet like fruits and vegetables. You still need to eat well to lose weight, so fad diets or practically starving yourself is not the answer and won’t help you remove the fat. It just reduces your muscle mass.
Once you are eating well, you can introduce exercise into your weekly schedule because the more calories you lose, the smaller your belly will become and you won’t have to hide stomach fat any longer.
